WordPress 2.7 has been released, and the big question by some Cutline users (we’ve received a few emails) is whether we will be updating Cutline to support the requirements of the new version. This is in the works. At the very least, we will be updating the existing releases (if you wish to retain the same look and feel) to make them compatible with WordPress 2.7. But the bigger news would be that plan to come up with an upgrade once we have the underlying structure (i.e., compatibility with WP 2.7) in place.
This might take some time, though, but we’ll do our best to come up with the updates before the year ends.
Hope you guys finish it off soon ! 😀
will the theme break with 2.7?
Has anyone updated the current Cutline to a 2.7 install of WP?
I’m just curious to see if it still works even without advanced features.
I just upgraded to 2.7 and everything appears to be working fine (so far). I’m using the version 1.3 Cutline 3-Column Split theme.
My site works perfectly fine with the new 2.7 and cutline. just doesn’t have the advanced features obviously.
And Josh you should have at least upgraded to WP 2.6.5 due to all the security bugs that were found from WP 2.5.1 until that one.
Awesome! I’m waiting this upgrade… Threated comments is one of the best features ever.
Thanks, Chris!
[]’s!
I had image alignment (centering didn’t center) problems. My server host and friend fixed it (no details yet) but have not tried L or R alignment. For a photo-blog this ability with ease is crucial, looking forward to streamlining image alignment in Cutline.
Good theme. I am considering to use it on my website.
I noticed http://blogsforbands.com/ has already added support for threaded comments to his copy of Cutline (on 2.7) so that is promising.
The new features are very useful so will be looking to try out the new themes when they are ready for 2.7
The only problem I had was when I reinstalled, it has a space in the name that gets unpacked. I had to go to wp-themes and rename the core folder and everything was fine.
I’m using the 3-column split and found that the left sidebar is not properly aligned with the left side of the container.
Looking forward to the update – thanks!
Scratch my last comment, I guess the left sidebar doesn’t line up with the left side of the header image even in older versions of WordPress.
Hello, I have two suggestions.
1. The comment page 1, 2, 3 in wp 2.7….
2. Ajax Comments….
I hope so much that we can use after this update the tabbed widget! This would be very cool.
I was afraid to upgrade to 2.7 cause some stuff might not work or things might screw up, but everything seems cool with the Cutline Theme.
I’m running Cutline 2.1 and just upgraded my WordPress to 2.7. No issues at all (so far).
I’m still looking forward to a newer version of Cutline. Thanks!
Looking forward to a newer version of Cutline. Thanks!
Any timetable as to when the updated cutline versions will be released since the new year is upon us.
Thanks for the pre-wire on the cutline update for WP 2.7.
Any news on how it’s coming along? Maybe an ETA?
Thanks in advance for all your hard work!
looking forward to a newer version of Cutline.~
