No matter how many spaces I manually place between sentences in Write mode, when the posts are displayed, the sentences all bunch up with just one space between them.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Okay, I guess sentence spacing doesn't work properly in code function, only in Visual Editor. Weird. And I hate visual editor because if you make a second or third change there, it wipes out all of the first changes.
Oh well. I can live with it.

Visual Editor is a hassle that way...
Try adding
for spacing in sentences.To add extra lines try this,
