Putting a "read more" link in comments.

    People are leaving really long comments on my site and I don't want to ask them to shorten them. I would like to set it up so that comments longer than a certain length will automatically be shortened with a "read more" link at the end.

    Anyone know a way to do this?

    Is there a php code I can enter into the comments.php file or anything like that?

    I have looked for a plugin that does this, but haven't found one.

    you'll have to create a plugin for those means. I am not aware of a code doing this, also because the read more link will have to display that single comment in a new popup or on a new page.
