Hello,
When viewing posts in the category view, the hyperlinks within the posts do not appear. If you click the title to view the entire article, they appear.

That's a wordpress issue. Formatting doesn't work in the excerpt that is displayed when you use the "more" feature. Links, line breaks, none of it will work.
However, if you change "the content" to "the excerpt (see wordpress codex for more on this) then you can have your pages display whatever you type in the "optional excerpt" section of your post. In there, not sure about links, but other html formatting works so I assume links would as well.
Pearsonified (this themes designer's blog) has more on how to use optional excerpts.

That's very annoying, to say the least. Thank you for the heads up on where to look. Will have to research this later.
