images not showing on header

    I formatted and uploaded images to the image folder per instructions. They are 770x140 and named as header_1.jpg etc. I made no other changes except to delete the default images - but there is no image in the header on the site - just a red x on pc and a ? on Mac. I've checked everything I can find reference to and everything seems right. Can anyone help? Thanks
