    Hi,

I started out with many posts on my blog, then the summer took over and I have few posts in the last 2 months.

    1) Does my blog suffer if I take dates off posts?

    2) Would it be best to start over and post to fill in the last two months?

I obviously have no idea what protocol is in the blogging community and would appreciate your feedback so I can do it right for my readers.

    Thank you,

  2. kana,

Speaking only for myself, dates tend to give some context to a site, make them more dynamic rather than the static content you see on regular websites. Of course, if you take time off, you do run the risk that people who had started to gain interest will lose some - especially if they haven't put your url in an aggregator or feed, which usually only occurs after you've developed a bit of a following.

Everything depends of course on what it is you want to do with your blog - it's as personal a decision as what you wear or what you like to eat. I think the best thing to do is just leave your dates as they are and just start blogging again at a pace that suits your interests.

    All the best,

    lex
