    Hi,

The sitemap at the bottom opens up the error page:
Easy, tiger. This is a 404 page.
You are totally in the wrong place. Do not pass GO; do not collect $200.

Is there anyway to make the sitemap point to the correct page?

I go to the WP admin and go to " Write" and choose " page".

I go there to write a sitemap page and add "sitemap" on the slug.

I hit sitemap on my cutline blog theme and it show out a page.

However, there is a comment box below it. I do not remember a site map contains a comment box.

Could anyone tells me if i have done anything wrong. I go to Chris's blog, check out his sitemap and there is no comment box at all.

    Ok, i got it.

    To create the sitemap:

    1. Go to the wp admin (Dashboard)

    2. Go to Write >> Write Page

    3. Type in the title, any tile, for me i use "sitemap". ( Without the quotes of course)

    4. At the Slug, type in "sitemap", without the quotes and all in lowercase.

    5. At the page templates, choose sitemap ( there is a sitemap template on cutline theme version 1.1)

    6. At the Discussion, uncheck the Allow comments and Allow Pings. ( Do the same if you are creating the About Me page too )

    7. click publish and there you have it.

Now i understand what write pages is all about. LOL.....

  4. I've had a problem getting my sitemap to come up (404). Have read and tried all the tips on this forum. Had problems with the archive page awhile back but finally got it working. I think I actually had to change some permissions somewhere along the way. Any ideas? www.athomeinscottsdale.com/sitemap/

  6. Bizarre. The sitemap was up and working for a single view. Now it's disappeared again.

  7. IE had a hangover. Firefox was working fine, so it was just a matter of clearing out the old Internet Explorer files and then the sitemap started showing up consistently.

    Thanks thailandenjoy this worked.

On the archives page there is a normal list by month then a heading that says "Taxonomy" - how do I get some taxonomy information to show up there?

Guys! at last problem resolved. The file in question is index.php. Strangely, the index.php was not loaded to the server after changing the settings. Thanks for all the help. http://erinlarsen.com/
