I'm upgrading the three-split column Cutline theme from an old one but I feel a bit intimidated by it. First of all, I customized it heavily and translated most of the strings into my own language (Icelandic), so going through all that again, and re-styling the CSS, is rather daunting.

Is there an easier way to translate the strings than going into the template themselves? The core of WP is translated into Icelandic by a guy here in Iceland who does it simply for the fun of it - we just dl. the .mo file from him.

Is this simply the price of customization, having to do it all over again once when a update is available?
