Yep - that's right to change the links that go to FRONT PAGE, ABOUT, SITE MAP, etc. you just go into the header file and made the change.

I downloaded a scrip that lets me have pull down menus in the navigation bar that has been nice since I have five different schools adding information to the site.

Essentially, from what I've gathered, you have to go into your header file and manually add the pages. You can copy the pre-existing "about" page and change the attributes to whatever you already have as your page slug and url.

It's unfortunate that this theme doesn't do this automatically, however it's free and otherwise really nice...

Hey everyone,

I'm really interested in using the Cutline theme for my website but I seem to be having a problem... When I set the Cutline theme as my main theme all of my pages seem to go MIA. I found if I click the about link in the top it goes to http://www.thelockerblog.com/about , while as under my current theme and any other theme It goes to http://thelockerblog.com/?page_id=2 . Does anyone know how I can fix this problem and get all my pages running again on the new theme?

Additionally I wanted to ask if anyone knew if the Woopra wordpress plug-in was compatible with this theme. I know in some themes I have tried in the past, the Woopra plugin refuses to read. http://www.woopra.com/ is the link for that. If anyone can let me know. I have it installed on my site and I tried to monitor with it up, however my site isn't extremely high traffic (yet) and I can't monitor the charts 24/7.

Thanks for your help,

If you go in the Style sheet under the about cutline info you will see body { background: the color code is next,change that to want you want.
Next go down to container and add background: plus your color code
but do it to all of them in the container area reason it will now work in Foxfire.
#container { width: 970px; margin: 15px auto 0 auto; backgound: #Ffffff: }

	#content_box { width: 970px; text-align: left; float: left; clear: both; background: #ffffff; }

 #content { width: 500px; padding: 0 0 0 20px; float: left; backgound: #Ffffff; }

 #sidebar { width: 210px; padding: 0 0 0 15px; float: right;backgound: #Ffffff; }

 #l_sidebar { width: 210px; padding: 0 0 0 15px; float: left; backgound: #Ffffff; }

	#footer { width: 970px; padding: 1.2em 0 0 0; border-top: 2px solid #ccc; float: left; clear: both; backgound: #Ffffff; }

After that review your site refresh and you will find the container area has changed to white or what ever color you chose The above code is for white.
You will see that the Nav bar background color is the same as your outside background color.
to change to white or whatever color you want go scroll down until you reach the following:
ul#nav { list-style: none; width: 950px; padding: 0 10px; background: url('images/hr_dot_black.gif') repeat-x; border-bottom: 3px solid #000; float: left; clear: both; background: #ffffff; }

	ul#nav li { padding: 0.85em 40px 0.7em 0; font: bold 1.4em Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; text-transform: uppercase; float: left; background: #ffffff; }

 ul#nav li a, ul#nav li a:visited { color: #000; text-decoration: none; background: #ffffff; }

 ul#nav li a:hover { color: #000; text-decoration: underline; background: #ffffff; }

 ul#nav li a.current, ul#nav li a.current:visited, ul#nav li a.current:hover { color: #090; text-decoration: underline; background: #ffffff; }

	ul#nav li.rss { padding: 0.85em 0 0.7em 0; float: right; background: #ffffff; }

 ul#nav li.rss a { padding: 0 18px 0 0; background: url('images/icon_rss.gif') 100% 50% no-repeat; }

And add your new Backgroud color to each except the last which I found wiped out the RSS Logo.
Now you just have that nasty background color bar between the Header Graphic and the container.....Still try to finget that one out.....part of the Header Graphic placement
But....?????
Good Luck

Well, while managing pages in your WP dashboard, you have the ability to suppress comments by clicking on the + sign of the "Discussion" menu on your screen's right hand side and un-checking the "Allow Comments" option. As for comments that have already been made on pages, I'd assume that they appear and can be managed just like any other comments that have been made for individual posts. But again, maybe I'm missing something here.

Change the links in the header in the header file.
Log in, go to dashboard.
Click on Presentation
Click on Theme Editor
Click on Header
Carefully make your change.
Click on Update File
View Site to be sure you did it correctly.

While you are doing this you will probably need to do similar to the footer file.

The default setting is using the names of the pages, if you change them then need to change the links in the places where they are hardwired.

Hope this helps.

June

On the Forum - just use the tagcloud to navigate then you see entries on topics that interest you - something must be wrong with the script.

Has anyone had a similar issue?

I put an excerpt of the copy in the about page in the sidebar and I want it to hide when the person goes to the about page, but is_page('about') isn't working. I've tried all the variations, is_page("about"), is_page("About"), is_page(about), is_page('2'), and is_page(2). When I use a conditional statement like <?php if(is_page('about')) echo "hello ?>, this doesn't show anything in the sidebar even though I'm in the about page.

Any ideas? Is this a problem with the 3 column cutline theme or is this a Wordpress bug?
