Can this be done with this theme?

On other themes I can modify the wp_list_categories function by adding &feed=RSS `);

Although I've found this in sitemap.php it doesn't seem to work. Mind you there's a lot a RSS coding after this line of coding.

Also I'm not sure if I should actually see and RSS icon by each category!

I must add that I'm using the widgets to control what is in the left and right sidebars.

It's so that my aweber can send the posts to the relevant lists automatically. ie I have different categories on the same general blog.

Thanks in advance. See the blog at momsanddadsguides.co.uk

Hey guys ... how can I get the "number of posts" that currently exist in each category to show up beside the category name in the sidebar?

For example:   category1 (23)
category2 (13)
category3 (8)

I run a blog called Sticki News, it's a news blog. Obviously, I've got several navigation buttons working, Sports, Technology, Politics and Home are the main 4. I have 5 categories in which I post, Sports, Technology, Top Stories, yada yada yada.

Here's my question. I want to write an article and categorize it Technology, and then have it appear in my Technology Navigation Link Page. So when a visitor wants to read my latest Sports posts, he/she wont have to use the Archives or search through my entire home page. He can simply click the appropriate nav link and it takes him/her to it.

As of now, all my posts go on the main page, which is great. I just need them to be carried over to their particular page as well. Check my blog out, so you can understand what I mean.

Recent posts on home page and on the appropriate page would be ideal in my situation. I update a lot and people might miss a great post because it's at the bottom or has been pushed to archives.

Please help me out, I'll looking for a solid fix. A plug-in would be lovely, but code will work. I used Javier's code posted in the "add navigation links" tutorial. So I can add any page from the wordpress admin panel and it works great. I just need to have an automated way to place posts where they belong.

HELP!

Thanks for the time, I know the question is loaded. I appreciate any help I can get guys/gals.

I'm trying to change the way cutline displays my categories. When I click on a category, I'm presented with a list of posts within that category but only the optional excerpt displays. Is there a way to change that so the entire post is displayed?

Here's what I did to get it working. Edit sidebar.php. Move this code block...

<li class="widget">
     <h2>Search It!</h2>
     <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . '/searchform.php'); ?>
</li>

...above this line...

<?php if (!function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar()) : ?>

Then remove the Search widget from the sidebar arrangement.

Note: I did not make any of the css changes mentioned above.

I upgraded to 2.0 and there is no search box.

Also, there is something screwy with the spacing & alignment. If you look at my site, http://www.hopefulspirit.com, you will see that where I have graphics and text centered, some of it is bleeding into the left of the post. I did not change any posts . . . just uploaded 2.0. Also, the graphic for "Share This" has disappeared and it is not lining up correctly.

All of these things were just fine in the prior version of the theme.

I'm going to leave 2.0 in place overnight in case anyone reads this and can assist. Then I'll have to revert to the prior version in the morning.

Thanks.

I found it.

In your CSS file (style.css) look for

#search_form { }
(around line 316)

and replace this with

#searchform { }

On the following line, replace

#search_form .search_input

with

#s

On the last line of the CSS, replace

#search_form .search_input:focus

with

#s:focus

That should do it.

For the search widget, a quick fix here:

on line 316 in your CSS (standard , change

#search_form { }

into

ul.sidebar_list li.widget .widget_search #search_form { }

repeat this on line 318, 320 and 322 everytime (change #search_form in to ul.sidebar_list li.widget .widget_search #search_form { })

(Warning : I haven't tested this as I have no install with widgets right at the moment)

I've noticed I'm not the only one with this issue. I suspect one of my widgets is conflicting with the search plugin. On my site (www.mymuaythai.com) the search box is still usable, however all of the nice formatting of the original design has been lost.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?
