So, I have finally finished up organizing Cutline 1.2.
I have added an edit link for posts, so if you are logged in, and looking at your blog, you can easily and quickly edit posts. Cutline 1.2 supports WordPress 2.3 and above’s tags, so categories are up in the date area, and tags are in the bottom where “categories’ used to be listed. I have removed excess whitespace in the CSS in order to help decrease the file size of the theme by a little bit. I also added a max-width CSS declaration to stop images from going into sidebars in many modern browsers.
Download your favourite Cutline 1.2 version over to the right, and enjoy!
I will be working on some tutorials, and screencasts to help people with the issues they are having customizing Cutline, so watch out for those. Also, I will be working on Cutline 2.0 in February, so watch for that.

This is great news. I have been looking forward to this upgrade for months. I’m sure I speak for everyone who is a Cutline user when I say ‘Thank you!’

Hi. I really appreciate Cutline; thanks. I am having some trouble with the left sidebar. Any edit seems to make the entire page disappear. Since there doesn’t seem to be any activity on the forums, I’m wondering if it’s possible to get help?

I want to replace the current header image with a smaller sized graphic with a width of 800 so that those on a 800 resolution can view the 3 column theme without scrolling.
Will changing to a smaller image width create formatting problems? I’m not using the new 1.2 release yet. I’m using the prior version with WP 2.3
Thanks!

Is this version compatible with the random header.php you have available for download? Also my ‘header file’ is named wp-blog-header.php. Do I change the name of the new header file to this (if it is compatible). Also a tutorial on how to put a small rectangular link in the upper right of the image (as you have) would be really nice for the website I am working on for my school. Thanks for finally providing something that is clean and easy to use!
I also use it on omfsource.com/blog *(still needs a little work)

Hi, Chris,
You mentioned:
“I also added a max-width CSS declaration to stop images from going into sidebars in many modern browsers.”
I checked browser compatibility of the style.css file in Dreamweaver and it told me that “max-width” is not supported by IE 6 and Safari 2.
Is this a problem or it won’t matter as long as the images I use is narrower than that defined by “max-width”?
Thanks.

Thanks for the update. Changing from 1.1 to 1.2 was not too bad even with all the file modifications I have made.

Hi, great theme.
I use cutline in a WPMU site of mine and I’d like to convert it into a Drupal comatibale theme.
I am aware that it is under the CC Attibution license, I am not sure of the details though (commercial, non-commercial?) as the license.rtf file is in a language I am not familiar with.

hmm I meant to say Drupal Compatible

The 2-column version of Cutline is still one of my favorite themes. Downloading Version 1.2 now.

Hi, I installed the wordpress 2.5 but I’m havving problems with the comments: when I save a new post, the little boxes beside the comments and the pings go blank, in other words, these two get dissabled. Could be the theme? Or is a bug in the wordpress?

Hi Chris,
I’ve posted a few remarks about Cutline here
http://www.timbru.com/2008/03/cutline-theme/
(I tried to trackback this bage but it didn’t work, nut sure if it’s my fault, your will or Cutline’s fault.)
